gas prices are causing some people anxiety about getting to and from work.
marriages are not offering proof of fidelity
The wife and husband are insecure in their marriage
We are afraid for our very lives.
We have been on our Christian journey most of our lives, but when it looks like we may be leaving this earth those who have be Christians are insecure concerning where they will spend eternity.
Pastor is a licensed counselor and went on to tell us how his full time job ‘Put him in touch with what people are afraid of and the feelings and wants in the community and place of employment.” Pastor Bright did not mix any words. His message was clear…
Insecurity Has Invaded the Camp!
BUT
WE HAVE AN ANCHOR IN OUR SOULS
An anchor keeps the ship SECURE
You must have an anchor otherwise you drift and you crash.
·terrorist can’t move us…….we are not afraid
·gas prices and economic difficulties can move us……..we have an ANCHOR!
·Joblessness and company restructuring won’t cause us to drift because we have an ANCHOR
·OUR LIFE IS SUCURE!
OUR LIFE IS SECURE BECAUSE OF GOD’S HOPE
·we’re born into HOPE
·We are God’s children and we ought to look like our Father.
§WE HAVE HOPE
THAT WHICH I HOPE FOR MAKES MY LIFE SECURE
GOD CALLED US, JUSTIFIED US, GOD SANCTIFIES US & GLORIFIES US!
The light and momentary trouble and afflictions are NOTHING compare to what God is PURPOSING in US!
IT WON'T MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.
·It doesn’t matter who buys the company.
·Gas prices don’t affect us.
·Our marriages are secure.
OUR ANCHOR =HOPE
Hope that is not in God’s purpose is not hope at all.
OUR HOPE IS BASED ON HIS PROMISES
We are to be certain about our HOPE/ANCHOR/JESUS
REMEMBER THE TWO UNCHANGEBLE THINGS! GOD MADE A PROMISE AND AN OATH
·WE ARE BORN INTO HOPE
·IT NEVER FADES
·IT NEVER SPOILS
·AND IT NEVER PERISHES
Our HOPE is in the purpose of God….God causes all things to work together for our good!
That which we hope in makes our soul/life secure!
GOD TOOK OUR HOPE AND PUT IT IN THE HANDS OF HIS SON
GOD THE SON TOOK OUR HOPE AND PUT IT IN A SECURE PLACE
JESUS LOCKED IT UP FOR US (Heb 6:19)
OUR HOPE ENTERS INTO THE INNER SANCTUARY AND IS SECURE
